North & South Historic Dinner

Inspired by recipes popular in the North and the South during the war, this year's historic dinner will feature sausage and apples, the President's Chaire, a dish said to be Lincoln's favorite; stuffed shad, sweet potato pone,; succotash, corn bread, anadama and hard tack. Following the meal, guests can sample Mary Todd Lincoln's cake, Jefferson Davis pie and mock apple pie. The historic dinner is a fundraising event for the Historical Society's operating fund.  The Society is grateful for the generous sponsorship provided by Charter Trust Company. $50 per person.
