Youth Night "Civil War in Exeter" History Awards Program

The Exeter Historical Society's 5th annual Youth Night,  featuries the winners of the Nancy Carnegie Merrill History Award. The event begins with music performed by Cooperative Middle School students (beginning at 6:45pm) and refreshments provided by student volunteers of the Exeter High School’s History Club.  The event is generously sponsored by Seacoast Credit Union.
The incoming principal of the Cooperative Middle School, William Furbush, will be delivering the opening remarks. 

The student winners of the Nancy Carnegie Merrill History Award represent two local schools, the Cooperative Middle School and Exeter High School.  The students will be reading their winning papers aloud during Youth Night, prior to the presentation of the awards. 

The event is being “emceed” by Exeter High School student Charlie Gaillard.  And the documentary by a group of Exeter High School students that won the History Day in NH competition -- “The Portsmouth Peace Treaty: A Victory for the World” -- will be shown.
