Abraham Lincoln, portrayed by Steve Wood, begins this program with a recounting of his early life and ends with a reading of the “Gettysburg Address.”  Along the way he comments on the debates with Stephen Douglas, his run for the presidency, and the Civil War.  In doing so, he challenges the audience to reexamine their knowledge of Lincoln’s views on slavery and abolition.  11 a.m. – New Hampshire Historical Society, 30 Park Street, Concord, NH.  Sponsored by the New Hampshire Humanities Council.  This is part of the Sons of Union Veterans Remembrance Day Ceremonies.  For more information please contact Dan Murray at 603-340-6571.
